Porsche Cayenne Now In India

Luxury and sports car maker Porsche has its eyes set on the Indian roads and has a new line-up of products including the new Porsche Cayenne. Cayenne contributes to over 80% of Porsche’s total annual sales in India. This year it hopes do even better as the new product is loaded with technology and competitively priced.

Priced at over Rs 60 lakh, Porsche Cayenne competes with Audi Q7 and BMW X5. However, Cayenne has an edge over its competitors as it also comes in the hybrid version.. The company has already received bookings of over 100 new Cayenne which will be delivered over 4-5 months

Two-wheeler major Bajaj Auto Ltd has launched the all-new Pulsar 135LS; with LS standing for ‘Light Sports’. The bike pioneers a new segment of ‘light’ performance biking and is aimed at enjoying spirited riding even in city traffic.

Styled aggressively, the motorcycle draws styling cues from its elder siblings in the Pulsar range, but sports a freshly-styled fuel tank with chiseled lines and fresh tank flanks. The headlamp unit sports a bikini fairing with sharp, rakish lines and looks futuristic. The sleek rear-panels give way to a two-piece split grab rail on the split type seat. The footrests are slightly rear-set, and make for a sporty riding position in combination with the two-piece handle-bars.

At the heart of the Pulsar 135 sits a 4-valve head, powered by Bajaj’s patented DTS-i technology that churns out 13.5PS@9000rpm, and generates a maximum torque of 11.4Nm@7500rpm. Mated to a 5-speed gearbox and tipping the scales at 122kg, the Pulsar 135 should offer performance comparable to most 150cc motorcycles in the market currently, while the diminutive size should ensure ease of handling in peak hour traffic.

Also, akin to the rest of the range Nitrox charged dampers do duty at the rear, to cushion the ride quality even on bad roads. The 4-valve head makes for ample low and mid-range boost, while allowing the motor to rev freely up to it’s redline of 10,500rpm. The employment of 4 valves as opposed to two conventionally should enhance fuel efficiency for the 135. Braking business is taken care of courtesy the 240mm rotor upfront as standard. Hyundai i10 ” Electric “

Expecting more customers is what Hyundai had stated while signing the MoU with Indian Bank and so it seems that while trying to impress those potential customers’ needs they have unveiled the electric version of the i10. Termed as a zero-emission urban commuter vehicle, the hatchback from the Korean company consists of a 49kWh electrical motor and a 16kWh battery, incorporating Li-Poly batteries producing the same power while weighing less and being more efficient when compared to NiMH batteries. Charging the battery pack will take five hours from a 220V outlet but if you plug it into a 413V outlet it charges up to 85% in fifteen minutes. The driving range is said to be 160 km with a 130kmph top speed.

Known American bike manufacturer Harley-Davidson besides launching their international line-up at the Auto Expo also announced the signing of a MOU with ICICI Bank in India. The association of the bank with HD ensures finance in case you wish to purchase a Harley or set-up a Harley showroom in India. ICICI will offer loans for upto five years at an interest rate of 11 per cent for buying the bikes. The lowest calculated EMI for a Harley is Rs 12845 for the 2010 HD XL883 Low Sportster, and goes up for other models.
